The assumption of the road by the Diputació clashes with 12 years of waiting to repair the surface that crosses Ardèvol

The Diputació de Lleida will assume the Riner-Torà road through Ardèvol, although the comprehensive reform will take 12 years. The town councils maintain legal responsibility and aid of 200,000 euros will only repair one kilometer of the surface, generating complaints about daily safety.

The Diputació de Lleida will assume ownership of the road connecting Riner and Torà via Ardèvol, but the comprehensive reform of the route will not arrive for another twelve years. The forecast clashes with the current state of a heavily damaged road, used daily by cars, tractors, and trucks.

The tension in the area lies in the distance between the administrative handover and the urgency on the ground. Pinós and Torà demand immediate action on a surface they describe as a "constant danger," while the only project already underway will only cover one of the twelve kilometers of the road.

The 200,000 euro aid only covers one kilometer out of twelve

A recent subsidy of 200,000 euros from the Consell Comarcal del Solsonès will allow for the repair of approximately one kilometer of the route. The rest of the road will remain pending a thorough intervention despite the fact that the damage reappears recurrently.

The origin of the problem, according to the affected town councils, lies in a poorly executed base. This is why punctual repairs do not resolve the deterioration, and potholes reappear shortly after.

In this context, the town councils insist that this is not a secondary road without use. The route serves as a connection axis for agricultural and livestock activity and for travel between municipalities in this part of the territory.

Torà warns that responsibility remains with the municipalities until the change of ownership

Isabel Torres, mayor of Torà, warns that until the change of ownership is formalized, responsibility for any incident falls directly on the municipalities. This situation maintains pressure on the town councils, even though the road will become the responsibility of the Diputació de Lleida.

Regular users describe daily circulation problems. Residents report flat tires and maneuvers to avoid potholes on a road where cars, agricultural machinery, and heavy vehicles coincide.

"It's a daily adventure," residents of Ardèvol

This risk increases when visibility is poor, according to testimonies collected in Ardèvol. The combination of a degraded surface, mixed traffic, and the absence of a complete reform has turned the route into a constant point of complaint in the area.

The road covers twelve kilometers between Riner and Torà, passing through Ardèvol, and the already financed work will cover approximately only one kilometer.
