Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca have opened the bar Normal in Plaça de l'Oli, in Girona's Barri Vell, right in front of their restaurant Normal. The new establishment includes an indoor dining area and a terrace, opens from Wednesday to Sunday between 12:00 and 23:00, and does not accept reservations.

The opening expands the Roca brothers' presence in the center of Girona with a more informal format in one of the busiest areas of the old town. The establishment itself is presented with a short phrase on its website that summarizes this commitment: "A normal bar on a normal corner of a normal city."

Bar Normal Opens Opposite the Restaurant of the Same Name

The establishment is located in Plaça de l'Oli, in the heart of Barri Vell, and is opposite the restaurant Normal, one of the projects the Roca family already had in this part of the city. The new opening strengthens their network of businesses between the center of Girona and its immediate surroundings.

In addition to this new space, the Roca brothers manage El Celler de Can Roca and Can Roca in Taialà, Mas Marroch in Vilablareix, and the hotel Esperit Roca in Sant Julià de Ramis. In the city center, they also have the wine bar Vii, in Plaça del Vi, Rocambolesc on Santa Clara and Hortes streets, and Casa Cacao with the bar Cacao in Plaça de Catalunya.

The Menu Features Tapas, Tartares, Brioche, and Rocambolesc Desserts

The bar's offering includes gildas, sheep's milk croquettes from Mas Marcè and Iberian ham croquettes, country pâté with foie mi cuit, pistachios and pickles, as well as Girona beef steak tartare and beetroot tartare.

The savory selection is completed with curry chicken brioche, stewed meatballs, potato omelet, and french fries with various sauces. Desserts include vanilla flan with cream, Rocambolesc ice cream, and Rocambolesc strawberry sorbet.

The business hours are set from Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00, while the kitchen closes at 22:00 and service operates without a prior reservation system.
