The fourth edition of Figa Dolça, the Mostra de Pastisseries de Figueres, will be held this Saturday, April 18, on La Rambla after the event had to be postponed last month due to bad weather. The fair will bring together 10 stands in one of the central axes of the city and will once again focus on local pastry and artisan proposals.
A day focused on pastry and chocolate
The program planned for this edition incorporates demonstrations and tastings aimed at the public. Among the announced elaborations are a white chocolate mousse with strawberries, desserts with filo pastry and brunyols de l"Empordà with garnatxa flavor. Also planned is a chocolate lollipops workshop and the presentation of new artisan chocolate bars.
The Figueres-born pastry chef and chocolatier Arnau Triola will participate as a guest in an edition that maintains the open exhibition format in the middle of the Rambla. The presence of the local professional will be one of the draws of the day.
Activities for family audience throughout the day
The program also includes several proposals designed for the little ones and for a family audience. There will be children's workshops, cookie decorating sessions, creative recycling activities with pastry material, and face painting.
The day will close at night with a rumba and versions concert, with which the organization will complete an edition that arrives a few weeks later than planned after the postponement forced by the meteorology.
