The Fedac Sant Narcís de Girona center will launch in the 2026-2027 academic year a new Baccalaureate with a mention in Education, a proposal aimed at students who want to orient their professional future towards teaching. The itinerary will be integrated into the social sciences baccalaureate modality.
The initiative is presented as the first baccalaureate in Catalonia specifically aimed at training future teachers. The objective is to awaken teaching vocations among young people and bring them closer to the reality of the classroom from the beginning of the post-compulsory stage.
Eight places distributed between Early Childhood and Primary
The program will have eight places in total, distributed among the specialties of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. There will be four students for each itinerary.
The proposal seeks to address the lack of specific preparation and the lack of knowledge that exists in many cases about the teaching profession before accessing university studies. With this new baccalaureate, the center proposes an itinerary more focused on those who already have an interest in dedicating themselves to teaching.
Weekly practices in the center itself
The students will carry out four hours a week of practical training in the educational center itself, one of the central pieces of the program. This practical part will be complemented with content on cognitive and motor development, first aid, and debate spaces designed to work on critical capacity and oral communication.
The training will also include preparation for the PAPs, the Personal Aptitude Tests mandatory to access university degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education.
Research work linked to the classroom
The baccalaureate will incorporate a research project with possible direct application in the classroom. This project will be developed with the accompaniment of tutors and specialists from the different educational stages, with the intention of strengthening the contact of the student body with the school environment from an early stage.
