Trump Mobile has acknowledged that it exposed its customers' personal data on the internet due to a flaw in an external provider of its support platform. Among the affected information are emails, phone numbers, home addresses, and transaction identifiers, as admitted by the company itself.

The confirmation comes in the same week that the company has scheduled the device's distribution to its customers, after delaying the schedule from August 2025 to October. The breach also coincides with another relevant correction for the brand, as the 600,000 pre-orders that circulated initially have been reduced to 30,000 confirmed ones.

Chris Walker attributed the origin of the breach to an external provider

Chris Walker, spokesperson for Trump Mobile, attributed the incident to a third party linked to the support platform and ruled out that the problem originated in the device's network, systems, or infrastructure. The company has not publicly identified this provider.

Walker also confirmed that the company is investigating the scope of the incident. He added that, for now, they have not found evidence that customer content or financial information has been leaked on the internet.

At the same time, the company is evaluating whether to notify users about the exposure of their personal data. This review remains open despite having already admitted that the information was accessible on the network.

The public alert came after unanswered warnings from two creators

The admission of the leak occurred after Coffeezilla and penguinz0 made public that they had tried to warn Trump Mobile about the vulnerability without receiving a response. This precedent adds pressure on the internal management of the flaw and on the company's reaction time.

The incident adds to other doubts that have accompanied the launch of the terminal. Although it was promoted as a phone manufactured in the United States, the production was carried out by the Taiwanese firm HTC and corresponds to a version of the HTC U224 Pro model.

An error was also detected in the device's design, as the engraving of the American flag includes eleven stripes and not the official thirteen. This information comes to light while the company maintains the delivery of the phone for this week, after having delayed the shipment initially planned for August 2025 and later for October.

The figure of confirmed reservations remains at 30,000, far from the 600,000 pre-reservations that were rumored at the beginning of the launch.
