The Catalan Consumer Agency has sent the complaints against Oral Studio to the Prosecutor's Office so that they investigate those responsible and possible crimes.
More than a thousand affected people grouped together in mid-April in a platform to demand the return of money and the investigation of the facts. The chain of dental clinics operated in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Cornellà, Barcelona and other towns in Catalonia offering orthodontics, whitening and implants.
The Mossos opened the investigation after the first complaints
The Mossos d'Esquadra initiated the investigation after receiving the first complaints from users. This police action prompted the Departament de Salut to verify the lack of health authorization in several clinics of the brand in Catalonia.
Health authorities ordered the immediate closure of the clinics and the prosthetics laboratories associated with the clinic network. The intervention occurred upon ascertaining that the centers lacked the required permits to carry out the activity.

A resident of L'Hospitalet pays 223 euros monthly without treatment completed
Manuel Ángel, a resident of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, illustrates the situation of many patients. He took out a loan of 10,000 euros which amounts to 13,341.55 euros with interest. He pays a monthly installment of 223 euros even though the dental treatment has not finished.

The affected person pointed out that they have had the implants placed for more than two and a half years but without the definitive prosthesis. His case reflects the seriousness of the interruptions in the services provided by the chain before its administrative closure.
