Cold water and structural deterioration have paralyzed normal activity in the municipal swimming pools. Users endure icy showers and course cancellations without prior notice while paying the full fee.

The central boiler, repaired just a few days ago, has failed again. This breakdown is added to the damage from a fire suffered two years ago that has not yet been fully remedied. The situation forces bathers and athletes to carry out their activities in precarious conditions.

Physical risk increases with falling tiles

The state of conservation of the facilities generates concern among subscribers. The mosaic of the small pool is progressively detaching and poses a real danger to the safety of those who access the pool. This circumstance adds a layer of physical risk to the already existing thermal discomfort.

The swimming courses for families have been suspended for the last two weekends. The management of the facility did not notify these cancellations with the necessary advance notice, which caused useless trips for several family units. The reception staff refers complaints to other municipal sports centers, a solution that those affected reject as they are contractually linked to these specific facilities.

"We have had cold water in the pools and showers for more than fifteen days. We demand new and functional equipment, and they have only changed the floats." - Inma Barrante, pool user

The approved tariff reduction is not effective

There is an evident contradiction between the political agreements and the economic management of the service. The municipal plenary session approved applying a 50% reduction in fees due to the poor state of the service. However, users continue to pay the full amount without this bonus having been executed.

The municipal group ERC+EUiA has demanded accountability from the local executive. Sílvia Casola, republican co-spokesperson, warned that inaction is not a viable option for a public service of this nature.

"Given this situation, we will once again stand by the users and female users, making noise until it is resolved. The municipal government must be active in solving the problems. Either it provides a solution or, if the pools do not have the minimum conditions to remain open, that they be closed until everything is resolved." - Sílvia Casola, co-spokesperson of ERC+EUiA

The neighborhood pressure intensifies due to the lack of definitive technical responses. The affected parties demand a comprehensive repair that guarantees adequate temperature and structural safety before considering any other alternative.
