The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 22-year-old man on Thursday in El Vendrell, accused of four burglaries committed in two homes in Calafell. The investigation places the suspect in properties on Bolívia street and España avenue, where he operated between December and March.
The case caught the attention of investigators due to the repeated pattern of the assaults. The arrested individual was not looking for jewelry, money, or electronic devices, but rather entered up to 30 times to steal only volumetric ultrasonic detectors from alarm systems, with a loot valued at 10,290 euros.
The suspect entered up to 30 times to steal 70 alarm sensors
The police attribute the theft of 70 detectors installed in the two homes to the detainee. To access the properties, he climbed the exterior perimeter wall and exclusively extracted these devices, always using the same procedure.
That modus operandi allowed them to narrow down the investigation in Calafell. The officers cross-referenced the area of operation, the repetition of accesses, and images captured by video surveillance cameras to identify the alleged perpetrator.
Furthermore, the Mossos d'Esquadra verified that the man used a buying and selling platform to sell the stolen items. The operation concluded with the arrest of the suspect in El Vendrell on Thursday, around 6:00 PM.

The arrested individual has 16 prior police records, a fact that is included in the proceedings opened by the Mossos d'Esquadra. The investigation links these four counts of burglary to the repeated accesses to the two affected houses.
After the arrest, the officers transferred him to police facilities and processed his judicial transfer. On Saturday, he was made available to the duty investigating court of El Vendrell.
