The strong wind affecting Catalonia has caused more than two thousand calls to the Bombers de la Generalitat and nearly four thousand incidents managed by the emergency telephone 112 since midnight. Barcelona and its surroundings have been the most affected areas, with special incidence in Barcelonès, Vallès Occidental, and Baix Llobregat.

Road incidents and reopening of the AP-7
Traffic on the AP-7 highway in La Jonquera has been restored for cars and trucks in the direction of France after the lifting of restrictions by the French authorities shortly after three in the afternoon. During the morning, trucks traveling north were diverted at the Llers exit to park in the vicinity of La Jonquera. After the reopening, approximately 12 kilometers of traffic jams remain between Borrassà and Pont de Molins.
Most road incidents due to wind are already resolved. Slopes, such as the removal of a fallen tree on the B-30 in Bellaterra, do not cause traffic jams. During the morning, the BV-1462 in Barcelona, C-1413 in Sant Quirze Safaja, and C-31 in Castelldefels towards Tarragona were closed due to falling trees. On the N-2 in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and on the N-260 between Campelles and Ribes de Freser and in Toses, alternating traffic has been implemented.
Maximum alert and prevention measures
The wind has reached 167 km/h in Montseny and has exceeded 100 km/h in Barcelona. About twenty counties remain on maximum alert for wind. The government has lifted the mobility restriction, although it maintains the rest of the preventive measures. Classes and non-urgent healthcare remain suspended.
Rodalies will maintain the speed limitation and the supervision marches while the alert continues. The very high danger situation due to wind will remain, at least, until Friday.
Injured and damage assessment
Six people have been injured by the wind, two of them seriously after the fall of a tree and a wall. Most of the incidents are already resolved and those that remain open do not significantly affect mobility.
The wind episode remains under surveillance by emergency and civil protection services, who recommend extreme caution when traveling and avoiding wooded areas or those at risk of landslides.
