University pre-enrollment for the 2026 academic year will begin on June 2 in Catalonia for students taking the university entrance exams. The process will be free, will be completed online through the access portal of the Canal Universitats, and will require creating a password to start the application.
The process allows you to request up to eight university studies in order of preference, but that order will not be finalized on the first day. Applicants will be able to modify their options until June 26, three days after the selectivity grades are published, scheduled for June 23.

Each applicant must indicate between one and eight university studies and rank them according to their priority. This order is key in the allocation of places, since the application allows for changes within the ordinary period once the PAU grades are known.
In addition to the general calendar, certain groups will have a specific pre-registration period between June 3 and June 30. Catalonia usually holds three annual calls for this procedure.
The available places in each study center of the seven Catalan public universities and the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya will be disseminated in a PDF document.
Personal aptitude tests will be registered from June 2 to 9
The calendar also reserves its own window for personal aptitude tests, whose registration will be from June 2 to 9, 2026. The degrees of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, which have independent PAP tests, are excluded from that period.
The public pre-registration system does not prevent submitting other applications at the same time. Students will be able to process admission requests at private universities, distance learning centers, or campuses located outside of Catalonia in parallel.
Outside the common circuit, the Universitat Ramon Llull, the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya manage their own admission process outside of public pre-registration.
