The second stage of the 2026 Tour de France between Tarragona and Barcelona will avoid Collserola due to an outbreak of African swine fever.
The organization has agreed to the change with the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona City Council, and will cut 14 kilometers from the route.
The race will enter through Esplugues and L'Hospitalet after passing through Molins de Rei
The modification will be applied starting from kilometer 123, when the cyclists will leave the natural park and will circulate on the N-340.
Then they will enter the city through Esplugues and the Collblanc road, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, until Plaça Espanya, where they will resume the original route.
The route will go from 182.4 kilometers to 168.4, with departure in Tarragona and arrival in Barcelona.
Barcelona will host four consecutive days of Tour events from July 2 to 6
On July 2, the official presentation of the participating teams will be held in Barcelona.
On July 4th there will be a team time trial starting in Fòrum park and finishing at the Olympic stadium of Montjuïc.
The stage between Tarragona and Barcelona will end on July 5 at Montjuïc Castle.
On July 6, the race will start from Granollers towards the French town of Les Angles.
The start of the time trial will be in Fòrum park and the finish, at the Olympic stadium of Montjuïc.
