The Prosecutor's Office requests eight years in prison for two Serbian citizens accused of attempted homicide after a violent confrontation that occurred in August 2023. The events took place on August 23 at 9:40 a.m. in Salou, where tension led to an assault with a bladed weapon and gunfire. The accused V.M. took out a 7.65 mm caliber pistol without a license or permit in front of a pharmacy on De les Sínies street.
The shot failed due to a mechanical problem that prevented the projectile from firing, which did not prevent the situation from rapidly escalating into a chase.

Meanwhile, the other accused, N.R., pursued V.M. to a supermarket on Barcelona street and stabbed him three times in the lumbar region. The victim was transferred first to the CAP and later evacuated to the Joan XXIII Hospital, where his injuries took 21 days to heal with four days of hospitalization.
The accused who was carrying the firearm is added an additional year for illicit possession of weapons. Both arrived from Girona the previous day driving a rental car at the city's airport and stayed in apartments located on Camí de les Pasquales street before the events. V.M. has been in preventive detention since August 31 and N.R. since September 9. N.R. has deposited 1,800 euros in the Court's account for civil liability, while both defendants are in an irregular situation in the country. There is a third investigated person, D.M., whose case is dismissed until he is found.
The case will be judged in the Provincial Court of Tarragona, where the seriousness of the crimes committed during that summer altercation will be assessed.
