The Local Police of Tarragona and the Mossos d'Esquadra deployed a joint plan in the Sant Salvador neighborhood between March 9 and 29, which concluded with 37 police actions, 248 people identified, 58 vehicles checked, and two arrests. The operation was further reinforced with a specific action on April 15 focused on homes with utility fraud and coexistence and security problems.
The operation shows a clear difference compared to the 2025 plan. Identifications more than doubled, going from 110 to 248, while incivility complaints rose from 10 to 21 and traffic violations grew from 16 to 23 in a neighborhood where interventions for drugs, weapons, and judicial proceedings also increased.
The plan added 440 hours of service and 37 police actions
During the three weeks of joint action, both forces mobilized over 440 hours of service in Sant Salvador. This deployment allowed for 37 interventions and increased police pressure on mobility and activity in the area.
In that period, officers identified 248 people and checked 58 vehicles. The operation also resulted in 23 traffic violations and 21 for uncivil conduct, two of the indicators that grew the most compared to the previous year's operation.
To these figures were added 10 complaints for possession or consumption of narcotics and seven for possession of weapons or dangerous objects. Officers also initiated five judicial proceedings and made two arrests.
The April 15 operation detected 30 cases of fraud in homes
In April, the police reinforcement focused on properties with possible illegal connections and coexistence conflicts. The intervention on the 15th concentrated on homes in the neighborhood and aimed to address incidents affecting daily security.
That day, the police forces identified 13 people and arrested one. Additionally, they located 18 homes with electrical fraud and 12 with water fraud, a total of 30 properties with irregularities in their utilities.
The operation ended with the disconnection of utilities in all detected cases. The specific report for April 15 includes one arrest, 13 people identified, 18 homes with electrical fraud, and 12 with water fraud.
