An 80-year-old resident of Pinós, in Solsonès, has been missing since Monday afternoon and his search remained active this Tuesday with a operation in which the Mossos d'Esquadra and two units of the Bombers de la Generalitat are participating.
The difficulty of the operation stems from an almost total absence of clues. The family reported him missing during the night upon realizing he had not returned and, furthermore, his vehicle, a gray Suzuki Grand Vitara with which he usually traveled on roads in a wide area with abundant vegetation, has also not appeared.
Tuesday's tracking focused on several points in Pinós
During Tuesday, the search teams have focused their tracking efforts on different points of the municipal area. The operation is working from Pinós without the location of the man or the all-terrain vehicle having been disclosed, for now.
The mayor, Xavier Vilalta, explained that the lack of clues complicates the work on the ground. He also indicated that the neighbor went out daily with his car and did not communicate where he was going.

That combination forces to widen the search radius. Vilalta added that the missing person could be anywhere because he was traveling in a vehicle prepared to go down roads.
The town coordinated the operation from the volunteer fire department
The coordination point has been set up at the local volunteer fire department, next to the town hall. From there, the ground search tasks and the distribution of mobilized personnel are organized.
Vilalta assured that the entire town is mobilized in the search for the missing neighbor. The mayor insisted that the main obstacle remains not having any firm clue about his whereabouts.
For now, the gray Suzuki Grand Vitara of the missing person has not been located either, a fact that keeps the search open on different roads and points in the Pinós area.
