The Nàstic fell by 1 to 0 in the Cartagonova against the Cartagena in a match that was resolved in the 91st minute and that seriously complicates the classification situation of the Tarragona team. The maroon team held the draw for a good part of the match, but a goal by Pablo De Blasis in added time left those from Tarragona without a prize.
The defeat also comes at a delicate moment. The setback puts Nàstic squarely in the relegation zone and leaves them in a critical position in the table after a match that seemed headed for a share of the points.
A cruel end after resisting almost the entire match
The definitive goal arrived in the 91, when De Blasis beat Rebollo to sign the 1 to 0. The play was reviewed up to two occasions by the referee Juan Manuel Gordillo, of the Valencian committee, before conceding the goal that decided the match.
Until that moment, Nàstic had managed to defend the draw in a match with few spaces and with scarce clear arrivals from Cartagena. Rebollo, in fact, had sustained the team with an intervention in the 48th minute that maintained the 0 to 0.
Start with occasions and protest for an entry about Pau Martínez
The garnet team had one of its first approaches in the 4th minute, when Pau Martínez filtered a pass for Baselga, who shot at the near post. The ball, however, went to the outside of the net.
Three minutes later, the match left a compromised action after an error by Rebollo that Willy did not know how to take advantage of. In the 14, the forward reappeared, although Lucho anticipated correctly.
One of the most protested moments by Nàstic came in the 20th minute. The visitors claimed a hard tackle on Pau Martínez as a red card, but the referee did not deem it an action worthy of expulsion.
The Cartagena barely troubled in that first stretch beyond a high shot from Rahmani in the 27th minute, in a first half without too many concessions by both teams.
Changes in the second half and definitive blow in added time
With the passing of the minutes, Alfaro moved the bench to try to hold the point and give air to the team. In the 63rd minute, Juanda Fuentes and Santos entered for Pau Martínez and Camus. Later on, Zoilo and Pedro Alcalá reinforced the defense, while Cedric substituted Baselga.
Nàstic's bet seemed enough to close the draw, but the match broke at the end. De Blasis scored in the 91st minute and the goal went up on the scoreboard after a double referee review, an especially hard outcome for a team that had resisted until the last stretch.
Tribute to Pani before the match
The pre-match at Cartagonova was marked by the recognition of Francisco Hernández Solano, Pani. The former player, 74 years old, received the stadium's tribute and made the honorary kick-off before the start of the match. Pedro Alcalá was also cheered by the stands.
In the disciplinary section, the referee showed yellow to the local Baz and to the visitor Montalvo.
Cartagena lined up with Lucho, Perejón, Baz, Aridane, Nil, Willy, De Blasis, Fidalgo, Rahmani, Kevin and Chiki. Also participating were Luismi, Larrea, Nacho, Benito and Ortuño. Nàstic started with Rebollo, Camus, Enric P., Hugo P., Moi, Montalvo, Gelardo, Pau M., Jardí, Álex J. and Baselga, with minutes later for Santos, Juanda Fuentes, Alcalá, Zoilo and Cedric. The final 1-0 leaves the Tarragona team in a critical situation after a defeat decided when the draw already seemed within reach.
