The plenary session of the Diputació de Tarragona approved this Friday a credit modification of 75.8 million euros to expand subsidy lines aimed at the local sphere in the regions of Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l"Ebre and Baix Penedès. The measure went ahead with the votes of ERC, PSC, Junts and PP, while Vox voted against.
Strengthening for city councils and decentralized municipal entities
The item incorporates 15 million euros more to the ImpulsDipta Plan with the objective of covering operating expenses of municipalities and EMDs of the territory. The modification gives leeway to local entities to face ordinary management and service needs.
A prominent part of the agreement focuses on actions to restore goods and services affected by meteorological phenomena or other exceptional situations. This allocation grows by more than 2.8 million euros and the forecast is to double that amount by the end of the year.
Items for damages, heritage and emergencies
Among the specific actions is the incorporation of 225,000 euros to repair the damage caused by the Dana in Godall. Also, 197,000 euros are allocated to the repair of landslides in Santa Perpètua de Gaià, in the municipality of Pontils.
The modification also reserves 100,000 euros for the consolidation and stabilization project of Pratdip Castle. In Móra d"Ebre, 200,000 euros are allocated for the purchase of a property where the future heliport is planned to be located.
In the section of specific actions, 369,000 euros are allocated to the works of COPATE against the black fly and the mosquito. To this are added 180,000 euros for phase 3 of the conservation of the modernist winery of Rocafort de Queralt.
Support to equipment and cultural projects
The list of investments includes 200,000 euros for the rehabilitation of the roof of the central nave of the Catedral de Tarragona, an action promoted by the Arzobispado de Tarragona. Also, 75,000 euros are reserved for the events of the Fundació Pau Casals on the occasion of the commemoration of the musician's birth.
The Provincial Council also plans to allocate close to 100,000 euros to projects linked to the total eclipse of August 12 in Benifallet, Reus, Camarles, Montbrió and Tarragona. With this budget modification, the institution expands the scope of several lines already underway and reinforces actions distributed throughout different points of the demarcation.
