The Mont-roig del Camp City Council has opened the tender to sell twelve municipally owned plots, most of them located in Bonmont Terres Noves, with the aim of allocating the income to the purchase of affordable housing in the municipality. The deadline to submit offers started this Wednesday and will close on June 18.

The operation starts from municipal land originating from urban planning transfers and concentrates plots of mostly residential and commercial use. The paradox is that the council puts land on the market to finance new public housing acquisitions through a sale to the highest bidder.

Eleven plots go on sale on Pixerota street

The tender includes eleven plots on Pixerota street, within the Bonmont Terres Noves area, with starting prices ranging between 119,000 and 139,000 euros.

To that list is added a twelfth property located on Basses street, whose base price has been set at 40,000 euros. All offers must be submitted separately for each plot.

The city council also requires that no proposal falls below the value assigned to each plot. A 10% VAT must be added to the base amount.

The council will award the plots to the best economic offer

The tender is open to any natural or legal person with full legal capacity. The award system will be resolved solely by economic criteria.

This means that the maximum score foreseen, of 100 points, will correspond to the highest economic offer submitted for each of the plots included in the tender.

The land integrates the municipal land patrimony and comes from urban planning transfers linked to the development of different sectors of Mont-roig del Camp. The announced destination for the sale proceeds is the acquisition of affordable housing in the municipality.

The deadline to participate in the sale of these twelve plots will remain open until June 18.
