Carreteras del Estado has repaired this week in May the guardrail and several New Jersey-type concrete barriers at the Les Gavarres roundabout. The intervention is located at kilometer 15 of the T-11 road, which connects Reus with Tarragona.
The operators have restored the road safety elements damaged during two traffic accidents that occurred on March 9 and 10. The most serious accident took place on the night of March 10, when a car collided with a concrete structure.
The driver was injured after the crash
The vehicle got stuck in the roundabout and its driver suffered injuries. The crashed car remained at the scene for several weeks before being removed days before the start of repair work.
The action focuses on a high-intensity section of traffic that provides access to the commercial area of Les Gavarres. This point concentrates a constant flow of vehicles between the two main cities in the area.
The roundabout maintains preventive safety measures such as lane reduction and speed limits. Specific signage for this section remains active to alert drivers.
Maintenance services monitor track status
Road infrastructures continue to be monitored by the responsible technical teams. The dependency of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility guarantees the replacement of damage caused by collisions.
