The Plenary of the City Council of Vila-seca has approved a battery of changes in fiscal ordinances and municipal regulations that affect parking, administrative procedures, sewerage, urbanistic activity, and access to municipal-owned social housing. The session also gave initial green light to a punctual modification of the ordinance of civility and coexistence.

Changes in rates, taxes and parking regulation

Among the agreements adopted is the modification of the regulation of the patrimonial benefit linked to the public parking service with time limitation. The plenary also approved changes in the fee for the issuance of administrative documents, in the sewerage service, in the tax on constructions, installations and works and in the fee for urban planning services.

In the same session, the regulation that regulates the public service of vehicle parking on the surface and in underground car parks was approved, with the objective of ordering this area in the municipality.

Green light to municipal housing of social character

Another of the points approved was the regulation for the awarding of municipal social housing. This framework will be applied under a transitional regime to address situations of social, residential, and emergency exclusion.

The plenary also initially approved the punctual modification of the ordinance of civility and coexistence, a previous step within the municipal processing before its definitive approval.

I remember the deported to the Nazi camps

The municipal corporation also gave its support to a motion to install the Stolpersteine keys in memory of the people of Vila-seca deported and exterminated in Nazi concentration camps. The initiative prospered with 19 votes in favor from the groups Vila-seca Segura, PSC, Vila-seca en Comú and Decidim Vila-seca, while VOX voted against.

With these agreements, the Ajuntament de Vila-seca advances both in the updating of its regulatory and fiscal framework as well as in social and democratic memory measures that will have a trajectory in the municipal management of the coming months.
