REDESSA has launched the first edition of Valors REDESSA, a call for applications to recognize non-profit organizations in Reus that have already developed social projects with an impact on the city. The deadline for submitting applications is June 30.

The initiative introduces a novelty in the usual activity of the municipal company, focused on supporting companies, entrepreneurs, and start-ups. Now, it will also allocate economic prizes to projects already executed in areas such as equal opportunities, social welfare, inclusion, community development, the environment, or social innovation.

REDESSA will distribute 6,000 euros among three social projects in Reus

The first edition of Valors REDESSA will award three prizes. The call reserves 3,000 euros for the first classified project, 2,000 euros for the second, and 1,000 euros for the third.

Non-profit organizations in Reus that have carried out initiatives with a positive impact on the city will be eligible for these awards. The call is not for future proposals, but for projects already completed.

Josep Baiges, councilor for Economic Promotion, Innovation, and Knowledge and CEO of REDESSA, framed the initiative within the activity carried out by the municipal company.

"The activity of supporting companies, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, and fostering innovation and talent from REDESSA, has a direct return to citizens, regarding economic growth and professional opportunities. But also, with these awards, we want to go a little further and support initiatives that generate direct benefit to society and highlight the associative fabric of Reus" - Josep Baiges, councilor for Economic Promotion, Innovation, and Knowledge and CEO of REDESSA

Voting will open in September and the verdict will arrive in October

The selection of the winning projects will involve a vote scheduled for September. Professionals working in the municipal business centers and registered in Comunitat REDESSA will participate.

Afterwards, REDESSA will publish the verdict in the last week of October. The awards ceremony will take place during the Community's Christmas Party.

Additionally, the call's terms and conditions and registration forms can now be consulted in the Comunitat section of the website www.redessa.cat.
