The Reddis Private Foundation and the 'la Caixa' Foundation, through CaixaBank, have renewed their collaboration agreement for another year to finance three social projects in Reus aimed at people in vulnerable situations. The contribution will focus on initiatives for socio-educational support, inclusion, and assistance for children, young people, and people with disabilities in Baix Camp.
The renewal comes with three programs that are very different in age and profile, but with the same starting point. While one of the initiatives is aimed at young people aged 17 to 21, another focuses on children aged six to 14, and the third will cover the month of August for families with children with disabilities, a period when ordinary resources tend to be reduced.
Fundació Bara will open a space for young people aged 17 to 21 in Reus
One of the financed projects will be Sala Joves, by Fundació Bara. The program will be launched in a renovated facility of the entity itself and will be aimed at young people aged 17 to 21 in vulnerable situations.
The facility will offer workshops, educational leisure activities, emotional support, labor and educational guidance, as well as training in the responsible use of technologies. The initiative focuses on an age group that is close to exiting the circuits of protection and compulsory education.
Projecte Aixeca't will focus on Montserrat, Fortuny, and Juroca
The Josep Pont i Gol Foundation will develop Projecte Aixeca't with children and adolescents aged six to 14 from the neighborhoods of Montserrat, Fortuny, and Juroca. The plan will be structured around extracurricular activities with academic reinforcement and monitoring of study habits.
The proposal also incorporates creativity and personal development through a participatory methodology. In the same territorial area, private funding had already supported social care in the neighborhoods through proximity actions linked to childhood and inclusion.
Diversitat en Acció will maintain adapted activities for minors and young people in August
The Diversitat en Acció Association will organize the Casal d'Agost Adaptat for children and young people with disabilities aged six to 21 throughout the month of August. The objective is to maintain routines, promote socialization, and facilitate family reconciliation during a period without school activities.
The center will include a swimming pool, hippotherapy, creative workshops, and adapted excursions. The program is added to other summer support initiatives for vulnerable groups in the city, such as summer inclusion programs promoted in previous campaigns.
The three funded projects share a local scope, but are distributed among different life stages and support needs. Coverage will range from after-school intervention in Montserrat, Fortuny, and Juroca to the accompaniment of young people aged 21 and adapted activities planned during the month of August.
