The municipal swimming pools of Reus will open on June 17 and close on September 6 with the same extended calendar as last summer. The facility will operate from Monday to Sunday, between 11:00 and 20:00 hours.

The campaign maintains one more week of activity compared to previous seasons to extend the service until the start of the school year. The city council links this extension to the need to offer climate shelters during heat episodes and to maintain a family leisure option during the last weeks of summer.

Reus maintained one more week of opening until September 6

The season will again extend beyond the usual calendar, a decision that the council already applied last year. The objective is to sustain the use of the pools in a period when high temperatures continue to be common in the city and throughout Baix Camp.

Before the general public opening, the previous week will host meetings aimed at students from educational centers in Reus and Baix Camp. This programming will serve as the start of the summer campaign at the municipal facilities.

Season passes can be processed for the first time on the website

The main novelty this year affects access, as season passes can be managed for the first time online. Until now, this processing was not offered in web format within the municipal swimming pool campaign.

The fee system does not change compared to the previous summer. Differentiated prices are maintained for children and elderly people, in addition to discounts for young people, golden card holders, and large or single-parent families.

The different access formulas that were already in operation in previous campaigns will also remain available, with monthly, season, ten-session passes, and daily or time-slot tickets. In this way, the service retains options for both regular users and those who attend occasionally.

Aquagym will start with two weekly sessions before the general opening

In addition to recreational swimming, the campaign will include aquagym activities for those over 16 years old. The program foresees two weekly sessions before the public opening of the pools and adds one hour of free swimming for registered individuals.

Enrollments for that activity will begin on May 26 and must be formalized in person at the Municipal Olympic Pavilion. The deadline will open three weeks before the start of the bathing season, set for June 17.
