The measure was presented to professional guilds of construction, installation, and other economic activities.
Jero Merino, councilor for urban planning licenses, explains that El Vendrell is one of the fastest-growing municipalities and that this puts pressure on the urban planning administration. The ordinance responds to the demand from builders, installers, and other professionals who are asking to reduce the red tape that delays projects and investments.
The digital system concentrates the prior consultation and the preparation of the file in the same space, with the objective of ordering the procedures before reaching the municipal registry. It also serves for companies and technicians to identify earlier what documentation they must provide in each case. The initiative has been presented as a tool to reduce times in urban planning procedures of municipal competence.

The Orpime ordinance has been proposed as an administrative response to that volume of files. The platform is already enabled and allows reviewing the previous steps without first entering the electronic headquarters.
