The Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Urbana of Tarragona deployed this Wednesday morning a joint citizen security prevention operation in the Sant Salvador neighborhood, in Tarragona, which resulted in a 29-year-old arrested for an alleged crime against public health and with another person reported for possession of a bladed weapon.
The intervention was carried out around 10:30 hours. During the operation, the agents identified 17 people in this area of the city.
One arrested after a search
In the search carried out on the arrested person, the agents located a box with eight pieces of hashish, two wraps with cocaine and 90 euros in cash. Following that discovery, the man was arrested for an alleged crime against public health.
Furthermore, in the same operation, another individual was reported for possession of a bladed weapon, within the preventive actions carried out by the police forces.
Joint deployment in Sant Salvador
In the operation participated three units of the Territorial Unit, one of the Police Reinforcement and Proximity Unit, and three more of the Citizen Security Unit. The deployment was part of the prevention actions that Mossos d'Esquadra and Guardia Urbana carry out in a coordinated manner in Tarragona.
The device was developed in Sant Salvador, one of the neighborhoods where citizen security controls are carried out with the joint presence of both forces, with the aim of detecting possible infractions and reinforcing surveillance on public roads.
