The environmental movements of Camp de Tarragona celebrate the tenth Festa pel Territori in La Selva del Camp, an event born in this municipality. The day arrives with the slogan The progress that kills us and coincides with several open fronts on the energy model of the area.
The central tension is that the meeting wants to reinforce alliances and territorial debate while the territory accumulates contested projects. The repowering of the very high voltage line between Aragón and La Secuita, which crosses the municipality, and the mobilization against the wind farm between Montbrió and Riudecanyes once again place the conflict in the foreground.

Mar Arnau, a member of Casal Popular La Raconera, frames the day as a point of reunion for the collectives.

In the organization they insist that the party is not limited to a playful day. The activity also seeks to open spaces for debate on what is produced in the territory and what relationship the south of the Principality wants to maintain with the rest of the world.
Protests against Masies Catalanes' pyrolysis plants arrive with a new collective
Among the platforms present are Riu Siurana Viu and No a la MAT, along with a newly created collective against two pyrolysis plants in Masies Catalanes.
The opposition to these facilities focuses on the environmental impact that the mobilized neighbors attribute to them. Xavier Pastrana, a resident of l'Albiol, asks that the City Council of Selva del Camp commission its own study to assess the real scope of the project.
"They are plants that necessarily have a strong ecological environmental impact. Right now the only environmental study that exists is from the company itself and it is accepted as valid. We demand that the City Council of La Selva del Camp commission an environmental study to know the real impact it can have" - Xavier Pastrana, resident of l'Albiol
The period for objections for one of the plants has already ended and the one for the second remains open.
Laia Muntas has summarized the day with an assessment of the state of the participating entities and the room they have left to continue articulating the protest.
