Gimnàstic de Tarragona fell 2 to 0 against Marbella at the Banús Football Center, in a match that became complicated for the Tarragona team with the passing of the minutes and that ended marked by the expulsion of Mángel in the final stretch.

The home team opened the scoring in the 21st minute, when Víctor Sánchez scored the first goal of the match. Nàstic tried to stay in the game and sought to react after halftime, although it did not manage to neutralize Marbella's advantage.

The first goal conditioned the match

The 1-0 gave Marbella an advantage in a stretch in which the Andalusian team knew how to sustain the result. Gimnàstic tried to move the bench in the second half and Pablo Alfaro introduced three changes with the entry of Alcalá for Enric Pujol, Montalvo for Gelardo and Juanda for Abdallah.

The situation twisted even more for the visitors in the 79th minute, when Mángel was sent off for a double yellow card. With one player less, the Tarragona team faced the final moments with difficulties to seek the equalizer.

Judgment in the final minutes

Marbella closed the match in the 85th minute with the second goal, work of Cambra, which left Gimnàstic without margin of reaction. The match was directed by the referee Alejandro Clemente Ortuño.

After this defeat, Gimnàstic de Tarragona now focuses on the next matchday, in which they will face Cartagena with the need to recover ground.
