A van went off the road this Thursday on the AP 7 at the height of Tarragona and ended up overturning laterally at kilometer 242, an accident that forced the closure of a lane and caused traffic jams of more than 3 kilometers in the direction of Barcelona.
The alert was received at 17:31 hours and mobilized emergency services to this point on the highway. Participating in the intervention were 3 units of Bombers, who had to extricate the person involved from inside the vehicle.
Transport to the hospital
Once freed, the affected person was attended by emergency services and transferred to Hospital Sant Joan XXIII. The emergency services specified that they did not present serious injuries.
Traffic affected during two hours
The incident kept traffic affected on this stretch of the AP 7 for a good part of the afternoon. The closure of a lane generated queues exceeding 3 kilometers in the direction of Barcelona, in a strip of high traffic intensity.
The situation was normalized after 7:30 p.m., once the vehicle was removed and traffic restored on the highway.
