The Firefighters have extinguished this Wednesday a fire in a dwelling on Tarragonès street in El Vendrell, where an elderly person has been affected by smoke inhalation and has been transferred to the city hospital.
The notice was received at 12:34 PM, after several neighbors alerted to a large amount of smoke coming from the building. The fire had originated in the kitchen of a two-story house.
Fire controlled in half an hour
The Bombers body activated four crews, although finally two crews moved to the location. The intervention allowed to extinguish the fire and ventilate the dwelling in approximately half an hour.
Once the work was finished, the gas reading was negative, so no gas was detected inside the home.
A resident treated for smoke inhalation
The only person affected was the resident of the dwelling, an elderly person, who was evacuated and transferred to the El Vendrell hospital for smoke inhalation. No further affectations related to this fire have been reported.
The performance of the emergency services concluded after stabilizing the situation in the dwelling and securing the conditions of the property after the fire.
