The Tarragona Urban Guard participated this Monday, March 23, in a joint operation in the Riu Clar industrial estate to inspect the activity of parcel transport. The operation focused on checking whether delivery vans and the warehouses and premises dedicated to package management complied with labor, administrative, and transport regulations.
In the operation, the Mossos d'Esquadra, the Civil Guard, the National Police and the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate also intervened. The deployment brought together units specialized in traffic, fiscal and borders, immigration and labor inspection, in addition to specific teams from the Tarragona Urban Guard in traffic, environment, administrative inspection and drones.
Two ships inspected and more than 30 people identified
During the operation, two warehouses and 17 vans were inspected. The agents and technicians identified more than 30 people and drew up an inspection report with various administrative infractions.
In the transport section, the balance leaves nine reports for non-compliance with regulations. To this are added another four for irregularities such as the lack of ITV or mandatory insurance. In addition, three reports were filed for driving unregistered lifting machinery on public roads and 11 fuel tests were carried out on vehicles.
Actions in immigration and work
In immigration matters, the operation resulted in 13 reports. In parallel, the Labor Inspectorate detected six people who were not registered with Social Security and issued 12 summonses to people in an irregular situation.

The intervention is part of the reinforcement of controls on an expanding sector in Tarragona, with coordinated inspections to supervise aspects linked to transport, traffic, immigration and labor conditions in logistical enclaves such as Riu Clar.
