A driver has been injured this Wednesday morning in a rear-end collision between a car and a truck transporting pigs on the AP 2, at kilometer 114 near Alfés and in the direction of Zaragoza. The accident was registered at 8:24 a.m. and forced the closure of the highway for half an hour at this point in the Segrià.

The collision has occurred within the municipal district of Alfés. As a consequence of the impact, the driver of the car has been injured. The incident has directly affected traffic on the AP 2, which has remained closed for about 30 minutes while the situation derived from the accident was managed.
The other vehicle involved was a truck transporting swine livestock. No further data has emerged about the extent of the injuries nor about the condition of the heavy vehicle's driver.
Another accident shortly after on the A 2 in Tàrrega
Minutes later, at 8:47 a.m., a second accident has been registered on the A 2, at kilometer 507 within the municipality of Tàrrega and in the direction of Barcelona. In this case, a vehicle has left the road and has crashed against the protection barrier.
The sole occupant of the car has also been injured. The incident has caused traffic delays in this stretch of the highway, with effects on circulation in the middle of the morning entry slot.
Both accidents have complicated mobility early in the morning on two of the main road axes of Ponent, first on the AP 2 near Alfés and shortly after on the A 2 in Tàrrega, with two injured people and relevant traffic disruptions.
