The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested on Saturday at noon in the parking lot of the Rectorate of Lleida three men aged between 49 and 57 for an alleged crime of robbery with force inside a vehicle. The operation began after a call to 112 and ended with the three suspects arrested at the same location.
Located next to the car when they were trying to open it
When the patrols arrived at the parking lot, the officers located three men around a vehicle. At that moment, one of the suspects was trying to force open the driver's door with a metal rod, according to police information.
The Mossos also recognized two of those identified, since, always according to the police, they are repeat offenders. One of the detainees had accumulated 40 previous records and another 37. The third had about thirty previous records, although no recent records were registered for him.
Seized tools and open investigation
In the subsequent search, the agents seized from them a metal rod and a dozen screwdrivers. The police consider that these tools were used to force open vehicles.
The investigation remains open to determine if the three arrested individuals may be related to other similar incidents. The detainees will be brought before the court in the coming hours, appearing before the Duty Investigating Court of Lleida.
