The rave held this weekend in a rural area of Llardecans, in El Segrià, ended on Monday morning without notable incidents and without the Mossos d'Esquadra having to carry out a relevant intervention. The gathering brought together between one hundred and two hundred people, mostly young people from France.
The fact that contrasts most with the usual image of this type of gathering is that the police operation was limited to preventive tasks and eviction was not necessary. Attendees began to leave in an orderly manner during Sunday afternoon and the municipality has returned to normal after the weekend.
The Mossos limited the operation to traffic checks at the entrances
During the hours of greatest movement, the Mossos d'Esquadra maintained checks on the roads entering and leaving Llardecans to guarantee road safety and ensure that vehicles were circulating normally. The surveillance focused on preventing problems with travel rather than acting within the improvised venue.
Sources from the operation declared the event closed early Monday morning, with no notable developments. The staggered departure of participants during Sunday avoided accumulations on the access roads to this municipality in El Segrià.
Xavier Mor places the event in line with the previous two editions
Xavier Mor, the mayor of Llardecans, stated that he saw no reason for alarm regarding the gathering. The councilor recalled that this is the third consecutive edition in the same location and that last year it coincided with the Aplec del Caragol de Lleida without generating conflicts.
Furthermore, Mor pointed out that the participants maintained respectful behavior towards the environment and did not leave any waste in the area. The town council appreciates the same pattern of normality as in previous editions held in the area.
The reference the mayor uses to measure the closest precedent is last year's coincidence with the Aplec del Caragol de Lleida, a context in which no conflicts were registered despite being held again in the same location.
