The Lleida Local Police arrested a 36-year-old man yesterday accused of an alleged attempted homicide offense after an argument that occurred in the mid-afternoon at number 21 Lluís Companys street, in the capital of Segrià.
The assault was not consummated because several witnesses intervened before the detainee, allegedly, managed to stab the victim in the neck with a knife. The attacked man did not suffer physical injuries, as the weapon did not come into contact with him.

At that moment, several people who witnessed the events acted to prevent the assault and alerted the Lleida Local Police. Their intervention prevented the knife from reaching the victim.
