The Lleida Court will hold three trials next week for alleged drug trafficking in cases ranging from an intervention of 15 MDMA pills to an operation involving heroin, cocaine, and 3,145 euros in cash. The hearings will be concentrated between Wednesday the 27th and Thursday.
The biggest difference between the cases lies in the scale of the accusations and the penalties sought by the Prosecutor's Office. In the same block of trials, a request for two years in prison for a cocaine sale valued at 30.82 euros will coexist with another for six years for a repeat offender in a case with drugs valued at 11,340 euros.
The Guardia Urbana arrested an accused with 15 MDMA pills in Lleida
The first of the trials will take place on Wednesday the 27th. The Guardia Urbana arrested a man in Lleida in August 2023, from whom 15 MDMA pills were seized.
For these acts, the Prosecutor's Office requests two and a half years in prison for the accused. The case will be heard in the Lleida Court, where two other drug trafficking hearings are also scheduled for the following day.
The Vielha couple faces sentences of up to six years for heroin and cocaine
On Thursday, the Court will try a couple from Vielha arrested on June 16, 2021, for alleged cocaine and heroin sales. The intervention included 155 grams of heroin, 44 grams of cocaine, and 3,145 euros.
The Prosecutor's Office values the seized drugs at 11,340 euros and seeks six years in prison for the woman due to her being a repeat offender. For the man, it requests five years in prison.
In addition, the Public Prosecutor's Office requests a fine of 34,046 euros for both defendants. The hearing will share the day with another trial for an alleged cocaine sale in the capital of Segrià.
The Mossos d'Esquadra seized 0.33 grams in another case with a two-year request
Also on Thursday, a man arrested by the Mossos d'Esquadra on October 2, 2022, in Lleida for an alleged cocaine sale will be tried. In that case, the agents seized 0.33 grams from him.
The substance was valued at 30.82 euros, and the Prosecutor's Office requests two years in prison for the accused. The indictment adds a fine of eighty euros.
The highest sentence request of the week falls on the accused from Vielha, for whom the Prosecutor's Office seeks six years in prison for recidivism, in addition to the fine of 34,046 euros proposed for both members of the couple.
