The Lleida Urban Guard arrested two men on Tuesday accused of assaulting a woman in the Eix and stealing her purse in the early hours of the previous morning. The victim suffered injuries and the officers located the two suspects hours later in Josep Solans square, in the Barri Antic.
In less than two days, the police action also resulted in another arrest for alleged domestic abuse and two reports for possession of bladed weapons. The sequence concentrates four different interventions in various points of the city between the Eix, the Barri Antic, Cos-Gayón street, Veguer de Carcassona street and Ramon Berenguer IV square.
The Urban Guard located the suspects in Josep Solans square
The violent robbery that motivated the first action occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Eix. The assaulted woman suffered injuries when her purse was stolen, and the Urban Guard attributes the events to two men arrested later for alleged crimes of violent robbery and injuries.
Hours later, the agents identified both of them in Josep Solans square, already in the Barri Antic. The intervention allowed the search for the two alleged perpetrators to be closed on the same Tuesday.
Another intervention ended with a 54-year-old detainee on Cos-Gayón street
Already in the early hours of Wednesday, at 00:25 hours, a patrol intervened on Cos-Gayón street due to an altercation. The action ended with the arrest of a 54-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a domestic abuse offense.
On Tuesday, additionally, the Local Police seized two bladed weapons at two different points in Lleida. One intervention took place on Veguer de Carcassona street and the other in Ramon Berenguer IV square.
As a result of these two actions, the agents reported those responsible for carrying the bladed weapons.
