About twenty CAP users are participating in Lleida in the Vincle Sonor project, a music therapy initiative aimed at people with persistent pain that is being developed at the Auditori Municipal Enric Granados. The program includes six sessions and seeks to improve the quality of life and emotional well-being of the participants.
The proposal places outside the consultation a part of the approach to a chronic problem that is usually treated in the healthcare field. In this case, Lleida's Primary Care and the Enric Granados Municipal Auditorium have united a cultural space and a healthcare team to also work on pain perception through creative tools.
Lleida Primary Care and the Auditori Promote Six Sessions
The project is led by EAP Balàfia-Pardinyes-Secà de Sant Pere, Mireia Vilà, and the music therapist and accordionist Nina Vilaplana. Participants attend the municipal auditorium to follow a six-session itinerary focused on music therapy.
The initiative combines a clinical aspect with a community aspect. During the program, the team analyzes users' emotional changes and the relationship of those changes with the perception of persistent pain.
In addition to the therapeutic work, the format shifts the activity to a cultural facility in the city. The development of the sessions at the Auditori Municipal Enric Granados is part of the shared approach between the health center and the municipal space.
The ICS incorporates Vincle Sonor into the Arts in Health strategy
Vincle Sonor is integrated into the Arts en Salut strategy of the ICS, which promotes the use of arts and culture as tools for health and well-being. The program in Lleida applies this line of work to people with persistent pain treated from Primary Care.
The project focuses on the emotional well-being of users through creative resources. In this context, about twenty people from the CAP attend six music therapy sessions with the aim of observing how their emotional state and their experience of pain evolve.
The initiative is driven by Primary Care of Lleida and the Enric Granados Municipal Auditorium, and the coordination falls to the EAP Balàfia-Pardinyes-Secà de Sant Pere, Mireia Vilà and the music therapist and accordionist Nina Vilaplana.
