The Court of Lleida will judge from June 12 six defendants for the fight between two families in the Beethoven bar in Mollerussa that ended with one man dead and two of his brothers seriously injured on November 22, 2022. The Prosecutor's Office is seeking sentences ranging from six months to 19 and a half years in prison.
The case will go to trial with a popular jury, which will have to determine the criminal responsibility of the accused in events involving accusations of homicide, attempted homicide, injuries, and participation in a disorderly fight. The highest sentence request is against a father and his son, pointed out for the victim's death during the confrontation.

The public prosecution attributes the homicide committed inside the Mollerussa establishment to both of them, where rival families from Miralcamp and Palau d'Anglesola coincided. The victim died hours later in the hospital from hypovolemic shock caused by a stab wound.
During the fight, two of the deceased's brothers were also seriously injured, both with stab wounds in different parts of their bodies. Along with the two highest sentence requests, the Prosecutor's Office maintains the accusation against four other people for their involvement in the brawl.
The other four defendants face sentences of between six months and seven years
The case records that objects, bottles, and plates were used in the brawl. Based on their role in the fight, the Prosecutor's Office is requesting sentences for the remaining defendants ranging from six months to seven years in prison.
The trial will begin on June 12 with the selection of the popular jury and will continue for several days of the following week in the Court of Lleida. That court will have to rule on the crimes of homicide, attempted homicide, injuries, and disorderly fight that weigh on the six defendants.
In addition to prison sentences, the Prosecutor's Office is claiming compensation exceeding 350,000 euros for the relatives of the deceased man and for the two seriously injured.
