The Paeria has approved for the third time the project to erect two housing towers next to the Llotja, on a plot that will house the tallest buildings in Lleida and those closest to the Segre River. The plan foresees two blocks of 20 floors under the name Torre Lúmina.

The operation incorporates a double reading at a very visible point in the city. The complex will add 261 homes, but only 52 will have official protection, so that most of the development will remain on the free market despite being one of the most prominent residential developments on the riverfront.

The two towers will add 261 homes, and 52 will be officially protected

Each block will reach 20 floors and the complex will include 261 homes. Of that total, 52 apartments will be reserved for official protection.

The project also adds an underground car park, storage rooms, a communal area, and a swimming pool located on the fourth floor. The development is marketed under the name Torre Lúmina.

Next to the Llotja, the development will occupy a unique position within Lleida's urban profile due to its proximity to the Segre. The development will place the new towers in a section where there were no residential buildings of that height until now.

The new blocks will surpass the 18-story building on Passeig de Ronda

With 20 levels, the towers will become the buildings with the most floors in the city. They will also become the tallest buildings closest to the river.

Until now, the building that held that record for the number of floors was at number 170 of Passeig de Ronda, in Plaça Europa. That building has 18 floors, two less than those planned for the new development.

The new approval reactivates for the third time a development that aims to change the immediate surroundings of the Llotja with two twin blocks. The project maintains as a final figure a total of 261 homes spread across two 20-story towers.
