A 30-year-old resident of Juneda has lost vision in his left eye after suffering an assault with a broken glass in Les Borges Blanques. The events occurred in the early morning of April 5 inside a pub located on Nostra Senyora de Montserrat street.
The Mossos d'Esquadra received the notice of the events at 2:46 AM. Upon arriving at the establishment, the agents located the victim being attended to by SEM personnel. She presented a serious wound to the face and direct involvement of the left eyeball.
The young man was transferred by ambulance to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital where he remained admitted for a day to be operated on and stabilized.
The victim recounts the mediation in the fight
The affected person explained that he went to the establishment accompanied by two friends and the partner of one of them. The tension arose when a woman approached his friend's partner while she was dancing and began to hit her. Several customers intervened to separate those involved.

The young man stated he did not know the detainee. He emphasized that his intervention sought to stop violence against women and that the aggressor could have acted against anyone else who tried to mediate the dispute.
Arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the injuries
The police investigation allowed the identification and arrest of the alleged aggressor at 4:43 AM. He is a 47-year-old man to whom the officers attribute a crime of assault. The investigated individual was brought before the court at the Lleida duty court once the proceedings were forwarded.
The consequences of the aggression are permanent. The victim indicated that she is awaiting more specialized visits and confirmed the possibility of having to undergo the placement of an ocular prosthesis.
