The Mossos d'Esquadra dismantled last Wednesday a drug trafficking network operated by a supposed family clan in the regions of les Garrigues and el Pla d'Urgell. The police action culminated in the arrest of three people as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health and membership in a criminal group.
The investigation started in October from the Mollerussa police station after detecting the usual supply of cocaine, hashish, and marijuana to consumers in the area. The agents confirmed that the transactions were concentrated in a home in l'Albi, where up to ten daily sales of narcotics were made to regular customers.
The registration in l'Albi reveals an inactive plantation
Police devices searched the dwelling located on Catalunya avenue in l'Albi. There they arrested two men aged 63 and 37 and a woman aged 35. The search of the property allowed the seizure of more than 50 grams of prepared cocaine, hashish, and 100 grams of marijuana.
In addition to the drug ready for sale, agents found 1,500 euros in cash, precision scales, and utensils for the preparation of the narcotics. In the attic of the same home, they discovered an inactive plantation consisting of 250 marijuana plants.
The connection between the detainees and the rural environment led investigators to a second location.

The Mossos carried out a raid on a rustic property in Cervià de les Garrigues linked to the investigated group. The search of this agricultural property led to the seizure of 225 growing marijuana plants, along with 200 cuttings and seedlings.
