The Guàrdia Urbana arrested Dino Marcelo Miller, 56, on Friday at 5:45 p.m. on Enric Pubill lo Parrano street, in the Balàfia neighborhood of Lleida, as the alleged perpetrator of a gunpoint robbery committed an hour and three-quarters earlier at a Plusfresco supermarket in Pardinyes.

The arrest comes just a few days after his release from prison on April 16, without being reintegrated and with warnings to the public about his dangerousness. The assault, moreover, ended without loot and without injuries, despite the fact that the detainee has a record of homicides and violent robberies.

The robbery in Pardinyes ended without money and with the arrest in Balàfia

The robbery occurred around 4:00 p.m. at the Plusfresco establishment on Baró de Maials street, in the Pardinyes neighborhood. The alleged robber entered armed and fled the premises without managing to take any money.

No one was injured during the assault. The police operation ended later in Balàfia, where officers located Miller on Enric Pubill lo Parrano street and arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of the robbery.

Miller had been released from prison on April 16 and was already arrested in 2021 for other assaults

His release occurred on April 16. At that time, he was not reintegrated and there were warnings issued to the public about his dangerousness.

It was not the first time his release had triggered alerts. At the end of 2020, on a first release from prison, he was already listed as a high-risk person.

Months later, on April 23, law enforcement arrested him for two violent assaults in Lleida supermarkets. Friday's incident once again places a man with a long criminal history linked to very serious offenses in the city.

His record includes the murder of former police officer Josep Gilart, who died two years after becoming quadriplegic, as well as the death of a police officer during a bank robbery and that of a man in a Barcelona pub.

The most recent detail of this history is that he had been released on April 16, less than a month before the foiled robbery at the Plusfresco on Baró de Maials street.
