A man has been critically injured after accidentally falling into the inner courtyard of a building at number 5 Acadèmia street in Lleida, apparently from a height of two floors, according to initial information. The alert to emergency services was received at 12:40 hours.
Personnel from the Bombers de la Generalitat moved to the scene, who performed a dwelling opening to facilitate the entry of the health workers from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques. The SEM mobilized two ambulances and attended to the injured person before evacuating him to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in critical condition.
Investigation into the circumstances of the fall
The circumstances of the event are pending clarification. Some sources point to the possibility that it is a work accident, although this point has not been confirmed for now.
The incident occurs a few days after another accident in the demarcation. On the 6th, a worker was seriously injured in Aspa after falling down some stairs in a work accident. In that case, the victim had a back injury and was also transferred to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital.

The fall that occurred this Monday on Acadèmia street once again puts the focus on this type of event while it is being clarified whether the injured person was working at the time of the accident.
