Lleida will add 14 points of sale for Sant Jordi 2026 in a key reorganization of the center

Lleida will authorize 217 sales points for Sant Jordi 2026, fourteen more than last year, in an edition that comes with a relevant change in the distribution of the festival's spaces. The Rambla de Ferran will concentrate the professional stalls of books and roses, while entities and collectives will move to Francesc Macià Avenue.

The new organization reverses the model applied in previous years and once again places the Ferran promenade as the epicenter of the celebration. The central day will be celebrated on April 23, although the city will deploy cultural activities between April 18 and 28.

New distribution of spaces in the center of Lleida

The professional stalls will be located in the remodeled section of Ferran's rambla. The objective of this redistribution is to gain comfort in pedestrian circulation and expand the available space between exhibitors. The reorganization will allow adding two meters of passage thanks to the rambla's unique platform.

"We want to create a more comfortable space, with better mobility and more spaciousness for visitors" - Pilar Bosch, Councilor for Culture

The entities and collectives will move to set up on Francesc Macià avenue, in a move that clearly modifies the scheme of recent years. The municipal forecast is that this configuration will facilitate transit in one of the points with most public influx during Sant Jordi.

More stops and traffic cut on the Ferran rambla

From the total authorized, there will be 80 rose stalls, 52 book stalls and 85 other product stalls. Among the granted spaces are 35 flower shops and 31 bookstores and publishers. To this will be added 90 stalls for social groups.

The Rambla de Ferran will remain closed to traffic up to General Brito street during the celebration. On this axis, a stage will also be installed with musical performances by young talents and with the traditional sardana dance.

Cultural program during ten days

The city will accompany the diada with a program from April 18 to 28 that will include exhibitions, concerts, theater, and literary presentations. The Morera, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, will also hold an open day coinciding with Sant Jordi.

At the institutional stand of the City Council, volume 22 of the collection Dragon Scale. Tales of Sant Jordi will be distributed. It is also planned that the water of the fountain in Plaça de la Pau will be dyed red with a harmless dye, as part of a day that will once again concentrate a good part of the cultural and commercial activity of the center of Lleida.
