The 0-3 Platform of Catalonia has called a strike in the early childhood education sector for next May 7. The mobilization will focus on Lleida with a concentration in front of the City Hall at 12 noon.
Educators, families, and other stakeholders involved in the field will participate in this event, which is part of a state-wide call. The objective is to denounce the precarious situation that the educational stage from zero to three years is going through.
Demand equalization with Europe
The professionals demand substantial improvements in working conditions and an increase in available human and material resources. They ask to equate current ratios to the European average to guarantee quality care.

Stable financing and new dates
Among the main demands is the requirement to guarantee stable funding from the competent administrations. They have asked for understanding from families for any possible effects that the strike day may generate.
This will not be the only action planned in the protest calendar. Another strike is planned in Catalonia on May 20 to maintain social pressure.
The mobilization transcends the regional scope with coordinated actions at the national level. There is a scheduled concentration in Madrid on the 23rd to join forces with other territories.
