More than 50 boys and girls from the Associació Down Lleida participated on Wednesday in inclusive Olympics at the Juanjo Garra Pavilion in Lleida alongside 15 CaixaBank volunteers. The day began with the arrival of the Social Month Olympic torch and continued with adapted tests and games.

The local event was held as part of a much larger program. While the activity brought together dozens of participants in the capital of Segrià, in the Terres de Ponent, the entity mobilized more than 250 volunteers in more than 30 actions focused on inclusion, education, support, and sports.

Adapted tests brought together more than 50 minors in Lleida

The event took place at the Juanjo Garra Pavilion, one of the city's benchmark sports facilities, with the participation of minors linked to the Associació Down Lleida and a group of 15 CaixaBank volunteers.

During the morning, attendees took part in a series of activities designed to promote inclusion through play and sports. The Social Month Olympic torch marked the beginning of a day organized in an adapted Olympics format.

The initiative is part of the fourth edition of CaixaBank's Social Volunteering Month, a campaign that this year also coincides with the International Year of Volunteers.

CaixaBank deployed more than 30 activities in the Terres de Ponent

Across the Ponent regions, more than 250 volunteers participated in more than 30 activities related to social inclusion, education, support for people, and sports practice.

This territorial deployment is part of a state program that has had the collaboration of nearly 2,500 social entities and approximately 24,000 volunteers. The network of actions reached people in vulnerable situations in areas such as education, digitalization, and the environment.

On this scale, the program benefited more than 755,000 vulnerable people throughout the State through activities organized with social entities.

In addition, the entity estimated participation in solidarity actions at more than 18,200 people in 2025, with an outreach of more than 151,000 vulnerable people served during that year.
