Two agents of the Mossos d'Esquadra of the ARRO saved the life of a two-year-old girl in El Bruc after an emergency intervention in which they had to apply the Heimlich maneuver to clear her airways.
The intervention occurred after the minor's mother asked for help and took the girl out of her vehicle. At that moment, the police officers intervened immediately upon verifying that the little girl was having difficulty breathing.
Rapid intervention in full emergency
The two mossos acted on site with a disobstruction maneuver that proved decisive. The girl regained her breath shortly after the assistance and the emergency could be resolved without the minor suffering serious consequences.
The little girl is from Lleida. The speed of the police response prevented the situation from escalating in the municipality of El Bruc, where the assistance occurred.
Reunion months later in Lleida
Months after those events, the family and the agents have reunited in Lleida. The meeting has served to put a face again to an action that had a favorable outcome thanks to the immediate intervention of the ARRO members.
The minor recovered without serious sequelae after the agents managed to clear her airways in some key moments.
