Four young people between 18 and 21 years old were arrested this Thursday after an assault on several residents in Hostal de la Bordeta street and its surroundings, in the Bordeta neighborhood of Lleida. Patrols from the Guardia Urbana and the Mossos d'Esquadra, including the ARRO unit, participated in the intervention.
The sequence of events began in broad daylight, around 1:00 PM, after an initial confrontation between a resident and occupants of an apartment. The assailants left at first, but returned armed with axes, sticks, and bladed weapons, and attacked residents of the area.
Two residents suffered injuries from a screwdriver and a stone
The assault left two injured. One of the residents was hit with a screwdriver and another suffered the impact of a stone to the face.
Both were attended by the SEM at the scene. The operation was concentrated on Hostal de la Bordeta street and nearby points in the same area.
Guardia Urbana and ARRO intervened after the armed group returned
According to the police report, the group left the area after the first confrontation and returned shortly after with bladed weapons, axes, and sticks. The joint intervention of the Guardia Urbana and Mossos d'Esquadra allowed for the situation to be controlled and the suspects to be arrested.
The detainees are three men and one woman, all between 18 and 21 years old. The police action resulted in the arrest of the young people for assault and public disorder.
The official report places at least three arrests among the four individuals involved in the assault that occurred around 1:00 PM on Hostal de la Bordeta street.
