The athlete from Juneda Alba Capell won the XIII Cursa de la Moixina (Olot) after a fall at 1,300 m that caused her a radius fracture; she completed 10.3 km and finished in 50:04.

The athlete from Juneda Alba Capell won the XIII edition of the Cursa de la Moixina held in Olot. The young runner showed extraordinary endurance by completing the 10.3 kilometers with a positive elevation gain close to 200 meters. Just 1,300 meters from the finish line, Capell suffered a fall that caused her a non-displaced radius fracture. Medical services acted from the first moment to attend to her in the competition area.

The organization Farandula Racing Team advanced the awards ceremony to allow the runner to go up on the podium before being transferred to the hospital. This gesture allowed the girl to receive her recognition in the best possible conditions.

Her father shared the image and the account of the incident on Instagram, where he showed his daughter's bravery during the race. The athlete is 11 years old and will turn 12 on May 24th.

Despite the pain, she completed the final stretch at a pace of 4 minutes and 13 seconds per kilometer. She crossed the finish line with a time of 50 minutes and 4 seconds, which earned her the title of overall female champion.

Capell's sporting success in this mountain race stands out for his personal overcoming of physical adversity. The local sports community celebrates his victory as an example of competitive spirit and mental strength.
