Alba Rico Aznar, a fourth-year student in the Social Work degree program at the Faculty of Education, Psychology, and Social Work at the Universitat de Lleida, has placed second in the TikTok category of the 15th "Adicciones Tu Punto de Mira" contest with the video The other screen: the real world has achieved second prize.

The recognition once again places the Universitat de Lleida in a national competition focused on preventing addictive behaviors among young people, with a prize of 400 euros for the student. The paradox is that the award comes from a mass-consumption social network and is for a competition specifically designed to raise awareness about problematic use and other addictions.

The contest awarded a TikTok video with 400 euros

The award ceremony was held via streaming and was attended by the dean of the faculty, David Aguilar, and the head of studies for the Social Education and Social Work degrees, Mònica Macià.

The national "Tu Punto de Mira" program is aimed at university and post-compulsory education students. Its objective is to prevent problematic drug use and other addictive behaviors.

In this edition, the competition brought together the 15th YouTube video contest along with the sixth TikTok video and Instagram poster contests. The organizing association distributed a total of 5,000 euros in 12 prizes.

The Universitat de Lleida adds its third recognition in the contest

For the Universitat de Lleida, Alba Rico Aznar's award marks the third time that a student from the campus has received recognition in this competition. The two previous instances were for Joel Muñoz Núñez in the third and fourth editions.

The initiative comes from the association "Promoción y Desarrollo Social" (Social Promotion and Development). Furthermore, it is funded by the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs of the Ministry of Health and has the collaboration of the Spanish Network of Health Promoting Universities.

Alba Rico Aznar's award-winning video, titled The other screen: the real world has placed second on TikTok, received an economic endowment of 400 euros.
