A man was seriously injured this Thursday after going off the road with his vehicle on the C-14 road, between Ponts and Bassella, at the height of the municipal term of Pinell de Solsonès. Emergency services received notice of the accident at 2:06 PM.
The incident forced the road to be closed for more than two and a half hours. Traffic was not restored until 4:45 PM, while emergency teams worked on attending to the driver and removing the vehicle.

Three units of the Bombers de la Generalitat traveled to the accident site, who extracted the affected person from inside the car after the road departure.
Three ambulances and a medicalized helicopter from the SEM also intervened. After stabilizing the injured man, the health device transferred him to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida.
The C-14 reopened at 4:45 PM after the closure due to the accident
The accident occurred on the stretch of the C-14 that connects the areas of Ponts and Bassella, a usual road axis between inland regions. During the intervention, the impact on traffic was maintained until mid-afternoon.
The emergency mobilized a total of three ambulances, a medicalized helicopter, and three Bombers units at this point on the C-14.
The seriously injured man was admitted to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida after the SEM evacuated him from the accident site.
